Vegans, Poems and Business

Ok — let’s address the elephant in the room. Yes — I am a vegan… I do not eat meat… I do not eat animal products. No bacon, no burgers, no eggs, no milk… it’s probably easier to talk about what I do eat…. but I’ll skip that for now. Veganism isn’t for the faint hearted as you’ve really gotta pay close attention to all food stuffs. Less and less things are available on the open market for us to eat… so, as you can imagine, it takes a bit of planning if I’m to travel anywhere.

Now, you may be thinking that I’m going to wax lyrical about the benefits of becoming a vegan… but you’re mistaken. I choose to be vegan… but that doesn’t mean you have to. If you want to know more about it, then send me  a message using the contact form on the other page, I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. For now, we’re going to focus on my other character-defining trait — poetry.

Yes — that’s also right — I’m a poet in my spare time. So when I’m not dodging burgers and bacon butties… I’m writing lovely little sonnets and limericks. Now, I’m not saying that I’m going to cover my poems here… I’ll decide that at a later date. What I am saying is that I’ll probably use this blog as a forum to blow off some steam and talk about other stuff — why not?

So — business! I’m self employed so I take a keen interest in business and related subjects. You’ll probably find on this blog, other than me ranting about being a vegan and writing poems, me covering lots of business news. I will be bringing you a mix of legal, economic, and financial news.

I’ll tell you what’s on my mind at the moment… the US elect candidates. So… republican or democrat, that is the question. I know I’m wading into dangerous waters covering this on my blog… so I’m going to try and remain as neutral and objective as possible. On balance, both parties have their pros and cons when it comes to business as well as politics of course. Where as Hilary is an out and out politician… I have no doubt the gal can run the country. She’s married to a former president, which has gotta count for a lot right? From a business perspective, I’m not so sure. I’m just not convinced on some of her policies, which cast a seed of doubt in my mind. Donald on the other hand… well… love him or hate him… what a business man! I have every faith the guy will have the interests of us hard-working business people at heart. This — in my humble opinion — can only be a good thing. The only question I keep coming back to… is… is this guy suitable to be our master and chief? Despite all his successes… I have my doubts, which I’m sure many of you have as well. Which way will I vote? That’d be telling!
