Seeking Saint

These words, from a friend’s lips, rang true;
‘Only a saint could live with you!’
Now I know what I’m looking for!
It’s nothing less and nothing more
than a bona fide, genuine saint,
to turn my focus from complaint
to a more optimistic view.
I need a saint to reach right through
the shield I wear over my heart
that keeps my soul and me, apart.
A gentle saint whose touch will heal
the parts of me too closed, to feel.
A vegan saint, who never harms -
Who asks for Love with open arms.
One who would never induce fear,
but only make it disappear.
Whose Love and mine forms a bubble
that soars above all Earthly trouble.
A saint; not religious or myth,
Just someone to be saintly with.
A peaceful and enlightened friend
to share a Love that has no end.
This is my ‘want ad’ set to rhyme
Seeking a saint to help me climb
the mountains of Truth found in life,
To share the joy and ease the strife.
A saint, who will see my soul, much more
than anyone’s ever seen before.
